ABOUT SOUTHERN HOMES
Southern Homes is a Wānaka building company specialising in architectural new builds, renovations and high-performance homes across Wānaka, Hāwea and the wider Upper Clutha.
Founded by builders John Marshall and Brodan Tailby, Southern Homes has been operating for the past two years, backed by around 20 years of combined building experience.
We’re passionate about well-designed homes and quality craftsmanship, with particular experience in Passive Houses and alternative building methods including SIPs and hempcrete. We enjoy working closely with homeowners, architects and designers to turn considered designs into homes that are comfortable, efficient and built to last.
For us, a great build is about more than the finished product. It’s about good communication, attention to detail, practical problem-solving and creating a building experience that everyone involved can be proud of.
